Exemption was pretty easy. None of the kids have been mean, only they say they wish they could remove theirs too. I'd rather teach my kids that its ok to stand out and be the only one (if its for the right reasons) than my children having possible long term, negative health effects from mask wearing. As of this past Monday both of my kids are mask free at school! I wish I would have filed an exemption sooner but I was holding out for West Ada to do the right thing.

We submitted a letter for “increased mask breaks for medical reasons” letter from our medical provider at the beginning of October and met kind acceptance with the nurse at our child’s middle school. In fact, she informed me that all children could lower their masks while walking in the hallways already! Unfortunately, even with the letter children cannot not remove or lower their masks is in the classroom, so my child has to exit the classroom and potentially miss instruction time if she needs a mask break. I will be pursuing a full mask exemption now and am excited that many of her peer’s parents will be joining me in this pursuit as she doesn’t want to be the only one not wearing a mask. Thank you!

We've had an exemption letter since last spring when my son was struggling with his breathing & bloody noses. He doesn't like to draw attention to himself so he goes with the flow, still wearing a mask. With strength in numbers, he will no longer be singled out and these kids can be free of these toxic muzzles. Thanks David …

Thank you for this information! We will be submitting our exemptions, as well. We support choice for all, and we choose to let our children’s beautiful faces shine. 😊

Our kids have had a mask exemptions the whole time. It was easy and the school was supportive. Let those kids breathe and smile again!

My 3 kids have had mask exceptions from their chiropractor since the mandate went back into effect. They are at Sawtooth and Hunter. Both schools have been great w/ them and they have not been ostracized or any of the other horror stories I have heard. They definitely are not the only unmasked kids at the schools.
